Ken began working for Seward Sales Corporation after his military duty, USMC 1965-1966. He was a Residential/Agricultural Specialist 1969-1974, Roofing/Commercial Specialists 1974-1983, and in 1983 purchased the business from Jim Seward

 Ken Schmidt was President of the National Sealant Association in 1989, President of the Indianapolis Chapter CSI 1980-1981, has been the recipient of numerous CSI Institute awards for achievement, and is currently the Indiana Home Builders Associations Scholarship Foundation Chairman.

 Ken is the father of 2, and grandfather of 4. His wife Brenda has 2 children and 5 grandchildren. .
